Overview
The department was established in parallel with the faculty’s establishment on the 15th of June 1977. Its main aim is to contribute to preparing expert teachers and researchers in all different scientific specializations.
Vision
The department seeks to achieve educational leadership and Excellency, locally, regionally, and globally in the field of Curriculum, Education Methods, and Educational Technology, besides the program of preparing a teacher in the field of education, scientific education, and community services.
Mission
The department seeks to contribute to preparing teachers and highly qualified researchers to join academic, educational, and training programs that match local and global guidelines. We are working on promoting the level of Curriculum, Teaching Methods, and Educational Technology in order to be the window of experience, providing consulting services to stakeholders, which collaborates in achieving professional development for teachers along all specializations.
Goals
- To prepare qualified cadres of educational and scientific research skills along all specializations, as to take over its role in educational scientific leadership inside educational organizations.
- To cooperate with educational system officials in applying research and studies results, in order to promote the Curriculum with all of its elements along all stages.
- To increase the department’s ability in advancing education, scientific research, and community services.
- To support teachers with theoretical and practical experiences in the field of Curriculum, Education Methods, and Educational Technology in different specializations.
- To provide scientific consultation for educational organizations in the field of preparing curriculum, education methods, and educational technology and its assessment.
- To develop skills in using the latest technological methods in the educational process.
- To direct researchers to research and postgraduate studies, which contributes to providing solutions for educational problems related to disabled members.
