Education

According to the Faculty of Education council's suggestion, Suez Canal University grants the following degrees:
 

Bachelor degree

The Bachelor's degree in literature and education in one of the following specializations of preparatory and secondary stages:

The Bachelor's degree in sciences and education in one of the following specializations of preparatory and secondary stages: 

The Bachelor's degree in literature and education (1st stage of basic education), in the following specializations:

The Bachelor's degree in sciences and education (1st stage of basic education), in the following specializations:

• The Bachelor's degree in Special education specialization.
• The Bachelor's degree in Kindergarten and education specialization. 
• The Bachelor's degree in Computer and education.
• The Bachelor's degree in Home economics and education.
• The Bachelor's degree in learning technology and education.
• The Bachelor's degree in education learning and education.
• The Bachelor's degree in Music education.
• The Bachelor's degree in Art education.

The faculty grants other scientific degrees only after the University’s council and Supreme council of the university's approval.

Education Period

• The education period inside the faculty to earn Bachelor's degree is four years, divided into two stages. The first stage is divided to 1st and 2nd academic years, and the Second stage is divided to 3rd and 4th academic years. 
• The academic year is divided into two semesters, where each semester consists of 17 weeks, (15) educational weeks and (2) weeks for exams. 
• The student is transferred to 2nd year only after passing all courses. In case of failure in one course or more student takes the exam in the 2nd round.
• The student is transferred from 1st year to 2nd to 3rd to 4th, in case of success in all courses, but if the student did not pass one course or more, he must take the exam in the academic year he shifted to but in the 2nd round.
• The education language in all divisions is Arabic except in foreign divisions (English- French).
• The education language of English specializations is English.
• Educational courses'  language is Arabic in all divisions, except in foreign divisions it will be with its language. As for scientific specializations, the education language is English.
• The student is obliged to attend 75% of scientific and theoretical courses.
• The written exam period is two hours and three hours for long-period courses.
• The student who fails in field training is considered a failure in the same academic year and must retake the exam for failed courses.
• The student who got absent from the written exam is considered absent from the course and must retake the course exam.
• The final grade is calculated according to the total grade average over the four years.
• Student earns a “High Honor” degree, in case of acquiring an “Excellent” or “Very-Good” degree, in total average grade of 4 years. In one case, that minimum grade over the four years is Very Good.
• If the student got less than 60% of the total grade and is considered failed, the grading system is as follows:

1. Excellent: 100% to 90%
2. Very Good: 90% to 80%
3. Good: 80% to 70%
4. Accepted: 70 to 60%
5. Weak: 60% to 40% 
6. Very week: less than 40%

• The final grade is calculated according to the grade total average, during the four years.
• Student earns “High Honor” degree, in case of acquiring “Excellent” or “Very-Good” degree, in total average grade of 4 years. Just in one case, that minimum grade over the 4 years must be “Very Good”.
