The unit was established according to an administrative resolution from Dean no. 13 on 21 October 2019. 

Vision
The Information Technology Unit at the Faculty of Education, Suez Canal University, is targeting to be distinct from other units, on both levels, internally between the university's faculties and externally, along Egyptian universities. It develops the management systems of education, information technology, and diverse technological services.

Mission
The unit seeks to follow up and implement the country’s instructions related to digital transformation and administrative reforming. It provides electronic services for all academic staff members, cooperative members, and administrative board, inside the faculty, in order to reach desired goals.

Goals

  1. Enhancing information infrastructure and updating it.
  2. Promoting efficiency and developing the internal information network of the faculty.
  3. Minimizing the usage of operating systems and programming and protecting devices from viruses.
  4. Working on promoting the educational process through supporting interaction between students and academic staff members.
  5. Using the university E-mail in all administrative transactions and in connection with students.
  6. Using the official faculty’s website to connect with all the parties.
  7. Using the electronic library and taking advantage of its several services for both researchers and students.
  8. Updating activities and Academic staff members’ data by uploading their curriculum vitae on the faculty’s website.
  9. Highlighting faculty’s role in promoting the efficiency of scientific research through social media.
